Welcome

Delirious Music Project is kind of an ongoing experiment when it comes to writing and producing music. There is only one main song writer and producer that also do all recording, mixing and mastering (Me). The "Delirious" part of the name "Delirious Music Project" is because I can, I have and I will use other artists like singers and instrument players, like bass and guitar players, or other guest artists if needed. It is also a total mix of different music styles. And so this is kind of an on-going music project, and it's delirious! But hey; we all need some variation in life, right?

The music written and produced is a mix of several different styles because of the wide and huge interest in most music genres. Mike, well Me (DMP), is not only a song writer, but also a producer, recording engineer, mix engineer, mastering engineer and most of anything and everything regarding audio and music (as well as video, photo and graphics etc).

I am a big fan of drum samples, mostly one-shot ones regarding drums and percussion. I never use drum loops for the main drums, but I sometimes use drum loops as backgrounds and effects, often EQ'ed a lot and/or changed in some way.

Other samples (so called one shot samples) like percussion I also often play myself, but it might happen I use loops for this sometimes, mainly as backgrounds to the percussion (one-shot) I play myself. I also do most of the vocals and I am a big fan of harmonies too which gives the result a professional and warm sound. I prefer to sing all the harmony vocals instead of using any kind of harmonizer, at least during my own recording/production. However, a harmonizer might be needed if I mix someone elses track/song/production, but I believe in not being lazy, and therefor I rather go through the more hard work to actually record and sing the harmonies, but that isn't always possible to do for other artists and mixes.

For me each task in music creation is of equal importance, meaning I cannot only produce or only mix when it comes to my own productions. I am all about all those things, and all that has to do with music writing, recording, producing, mixing and mastering. I see it as a package thing kind of, but of course I still can only do a mix for another artist. and oh... of course I will do my own music video recording and editing too. I guess I am all about everything in the mediafield, well... multimedia I guess I should call it then.

The audio and music interest started for Me about 40 years ago, and so yes I've been through the analog recording time, in different studios including television broadcast and radio. I am so glad I was born in the 70's so that I could learn all about the analog recording and mixing, but there actually was a computer (Atari) in the first music recording studio, but for Midi, using the program Notator (look it up on Youtube). If you wasn't around at the age of the soundblaster 8bit soundcard then you don't know how lucky you are to have the computer power and the sound quality that exist today. But even if it was a struggle many times with different problems, and even if it took a very long time to load samples/sounds from floppy disks, the knowledge from that time is worth so much to Me today. It also helps that I am a computer engineer and a programmer, and what I mean by that is that hardware also is of great interest to Me.

Anyway, releases of songs will not happen too frequently, but I am still writing songs, and I will upload new songs too as soon as any are available. I also have to make a video for each song, and that also takes a lot of time.
